We Are “On The Loose”

We are “On The Loose”

Jim on Killington, VT during the Paul’s Boots Project.

Well, that took a while. After numerous false starts I’m ready to get started. My name is Jim and this is my blog. I have a lot of ideas on what this blog might become. There are so many things I want to write about, it is hard to tell what this site might become. For now you can look forward to:

  • Details on our Sprinter Van DIY RV build
  • Tips, Tricks and Tactics from 10+ years of life on the road
  • How to bring your children along to share in your adventures (and have it not suck).
  • Camp Stove Recipes to help feed you and your little ones.
  • How to train for rock climbing

The Home On The Loose corporate team

Who are we?

We are a family of teachers and kids living in Colorado and on the road. We currently work 8-9 months and spend the remainder of the year traveling in our DIY Sprinter RV.

We hope our ongoing story inspires you to get out there, find your joy and share it with the people you love. We thrive on hearing your stories and we would love your feedback, good or bad as we want to make this a place that is useful to you and provides the content you are looking for. Connect with us, leave a comment or drop us an email and we will get back to you.

See you out there!

Congrats on starting the blog! You and your family sound like you know how to prioritize the good life.

See you at the crag next time I’m in Colorado!

Thanks Dakota! I’m serious about the belay offer. Hit us up if you are coming through Colorado! =)

  2. Carolynn Grigsby says:

Hi! It’s been forever since I’ve seen you guys so if you all wander up towards the Pacific Northwest (specifically the Seattle/Tacoma area, but I’d definitely drive down towards Portland to say hi), definitely let me know. I love the van and can’t wait to hear all about your adventures!!

    • homeontheloose@gmail.com says:

Hey Carolyn!! We are planning on being out in your neck of the woods this summer! We will definitely roll by to see you!
